Connie C. Scharon A little something from the book I am working on now. This is as close as I can get to a two sentence horror story.

Her husband’s blood pooled across the wooden planks seeping between her toes, wicking into the hem of her nightgown, and coating her hands—her clothes. Did she kill him and not remember it?
Connie C. Scharon I have become a Game of Thrones fan, so I would travel into George Martin's fantasy world of Ice and Fire to support the Mother of Dragons in her quest to take the Iron Throne.
Connie C. Scharon I am planning to read Annette Dashofy's Zoe Chambers Mystery series. I attended Pennwriters' Conference and heard her speak.
Connie C. Scharon Hi Karen,
My latest book, Ghost of the Highlands, is Brianna's story. I am doing three books, which are still part of the Highland Legends series but are in a subseries called Tales of the Isles because they all take place in the Western islands of Scotland. So technically, Ghost of the Highlands is book 6 of Highland Legends, but book 1 of the subseries.

It is my intent to one day do the tale of Tessa and Jared's son, Thorne, but it will not be for a while. I have the second book in the Tales of the Isles series, Pirate of the Highlands, in edit right now and hope to release that sometime in June. I will follow that with the third book in the subseries before moving on to anything else.

Thanks so much for your interest in my work.

Connie
Connie C. Scharon My actions helped the police discover a murder. My eye doctor did not show for my appointment and the office was open except for the inner door, which was not locked, but pushed against something when I tried to open it. I notified an emergency number for the eye doctor that something strange was going on and then left. I later found out the police discovered the receptionist murdered just beyond the door that would not open. It could be the beginning of a murder mystery if the patient actually got the door open.
Connie C. Scharon I love the fictional couple created for the TV show Castle. Richard Castle and Kate Beckett have a great blend of humor and serious drama that makes me a fan who wants to keep coming back.
Connie C. Scharon I haven't experienced writer's block yet. That is not saying I might not some day, but currently I have notes on multiple projects and I decide what I am going to work on next.
I see story possibilities in everything I experience and that makes life really interesting.
Connie C. Scharon I love being a writer because it is the only place in my life where I can control everything. As the author, I am the god of my own little universe. I decide who is in the story, what happens, who lives, and who dies. Where else do you have that kind of power???
Connie C. Scharon When I started out writing, I created my first manuscript in longhand in a spiral notebook. I thought is was the greatest thing ever, but it really wasn't. Later I began going to writing conferences and classes, finding out how to write a book. My work has improved over the years because I continue to seek out people who know more about writing than I do and learning from their successes and failures. Recently I spoke at a conference for the first time--what a thrill! I had gone from student to teacher. My best advice for aspiring writers is to learn all you can about your craft.
Connie C. Scharon I am currently working on a new sub-series for Highland Legends. This will be entitled Tales of the Isles and all the stories in this group will take place in the Western Isles of Scotland.
I am also working on editing some of the suspense novels I have written, but never published.
Connie C. Scharon Everything that happens in my life seems to inspire a fictional story. My best example of this is Victorian Lace. I went to a vintage fashion show and one of the models wore an old Victorian lace wedding gown that had a stain on the front skirt. My very active imagination turned this into a blood stain and I was off and writing on Victorian Lace.
Connie C. Scharon My most recent book was written because of reader interest in a secondary character who first appeared in Fire Angel. Readers kept asking for Samantha's story, and since I knew she had an interesting one, I elected to tell it in The Strange Tale of Samantha Ravenwood.
