Alp Mortal Hi Nolan,

I've just started it in fact - love Felice Stevens (love so many authors). Will post a rating/review when I'm done with it.

Best,
Alp
Alp Mortal Hey Jack,
There are two systems - one heats water and one generates power. The panels which heat the water are roof mounted, The panel which generates the power is mounted on the south facing wall of the property. Clearly, both are dependent on the sun! I use black bags and buckets in the summer to heat water for washing and for doing the laundry - they are really effective in heating the water but not so good at keeping the water hot once the sun has gone off - as with all things; the systems work if you are prepared to adapt your lifestyle to suit. I also had a black hose coiled up under the compost pile and that was much more effective at keeping the water warm for longer - like overnight.

Alp Mortal Chambers Mars and I were writing Dust Jacket and we needed an author and the title of a book to use in the plot; we created Carter Seagrove who wrote The Blakely Affair; then we decided to write it more just out of fun; it's a murder mystery. It's now spawned a series, The Inspector Fenchurch Mysteries and we are writing Black Veil at the moment. Generally I get my ideas from snippets of dialogue and often one of my stories will begin with that line of dialogue 'Four shot, tall latte, please' being my absolute favourite first line.
Alp Mortal I think the inspiration to write is just in my DNA; I've not thought about it for so long now. I want to write all of the time so it's more of a case of what inspires me to stop ... very little but the prospect of reading a good book will make me put the pen down. When I read a really good story I guess I do try harder to write better
Alp Mortal I stop writing one story and start writing another. It's not uncommon for me to have 6 WIP projects. True block is different to the time you should take out to read what you've written and process it ... when I seriously have nothing in my head I just go to the beach or cycle, read a book or watch a movie, hook up with friends ... I'm amazed at how often the block gets unblocked by talking to the friend who cuts my hair
Alp Mortal the incredible people who you meet ... the feedback you get ... the freedom to express yourself ... designing book covers ... not getting rejection letters 'cos I self publish ... the best bit is that no one tells me to do it
Alp Mortal write and worry about the rest later
Alp Mortal Currently working on Black Veil, the second Inspector Fenchurch Mystery. This is the series I am writing with Chambers Mars, together we are the author Carter Seagrove; it's a creative experiment in some respects
