I tried to hold my breath as I watched a bloody clawed paw step to the tiled floor in the adjacent stall. The thirteenth floor bathroom turned out to be the worst place to hide.

With a new theatrical version of Stephen King's "IT" coming out in September, I'm going to reread that to refresh myself with the story. The new movie better be good. After that, I've got "Abandon" by Blake Crouch, and "Because of Mr. Terupt" by Rob Buyea. There might be a Baldacci in there somewhere too.

I used to live next to a neighbor that did odd things at odd times of the day. For example, one day I noticed that he was hosing out his refrigerator on his front lawn. Maybe not so much of a strange thing, but at 1:30 in the morning it gets my brain ticking. He also used to drive off in his car at seemingly random times, day and night, always returning a short time later. I often wondered where he went. Definitely mysterious in a "Rear Window" kind of way.
