Go for it! The writing and publishing process take hard work, creativity, motivation and persistence, but the world is a better place if we share our knowledge with each other.

I can set my own schedule and write when I want to! And when I want to go do something fun with my family, I can do that too, postponing the writing to another time.

I'm inspired to share what I know and help families enjoy life. If readers learn a few things from my book to help their children choose safety, then my writing was worth it. We can work together to keep all children happy, healthy, and injury-free.

Most of my reading is professional. I stay up with the latest scientific publications relevant to child safety and injury prevention, including how children think and develop, how adults can protect children and encourage them to engage in the world safely, and how researchers are innovating new ideas for child safety. I also read local, national and global news every day and occasionally sneak in a few pleasure reads!
