Sharon Duerst Melanie and Ashley in Gone With the Wind are my favorite fictional couple. Their love felt respectful, lasting, unblemished - something I was not sure existed, but wanted to believe in! Now I know love is always a bit messy! But so worth it!
Sharon Duerst Seeding Hope is the third book in the Possibility Series, following Mending Stone and Catching Rain. It's the continuing story of a woman finding loss, and disappointment, and rising to meet the challenges of life with changing relationships and priorities. Like all our lives! But these books document her progress from doubt and worry and pain and helplessness to new capabilities and faith, as well as learning to fully engage in her relationships with family and friends. I worked 15 years in long term care; I heard the life tales of so many impressive women. Somehow, their struggles got under my skin and touched my heart. I was compelled to write the wonder and triumph of life well lived - not without pain and lament - with willingness to love.
Sharon Duerst Beautiful outdoor scenes and fresh air often spur my emotions. And when elevated, my emotions push toward creativity, and words come to mind.
Sharon Duerst I'm preparing my third novel - Seeding Hope - for publication. And I have two other books gelling in my mind!
Sharon Duerst Write, then study what you wrote and ask yourself if what you meant to express is said. If not, rewrite! Keep working it until you can smile with the result.
Sharon Duerst Writing creatively enhances my other creative endeavors.
Sharon Duerst I walk. And I follow the pull to do other crafts requiring concentration and many steps to completion. Somehow, these two things help unlock my mind! Maybe not that day, but soon after!
