Buzz Dixon Don't aspire, write.
Buzz Dixon Several ideas all at once. I have five completed novels I will be sharing first on Kindle Vella before making them available as ebooks and trade paperbacks, plus six or seven other book ideas in various stages of development. I tend to build my novels slowly, letting characters and situations present themselves instead of trying to force them into a given formula, but once they're ready to be written, I tend to blitz them out fast (at least the first drafts).
Buzz Dixon I didn't choose the storyteller life, the storyteller life chose me.
Buzz Dixon I stumbled across a small blurb online about something goofy that happened in a small Vermont town and the topic tickled my fancy (and I am a fancy tickler) enough for me to look into it deeper. After I got the basic premise for Cheeky down, it took 13 years to work out all the character interactions and plot details! But once I did, I wrote my first draft in less than 2 1/2 months.
