All first (and most early) drafts are crap. Just embrace that, don't worry about it, and get it on the page. It is much easier to make something better, than it is to make something to begin with.

I don't really suffer writer's block, but when I struggle to get good stuff on the page I research or plot or outline or work on other ideas. There's always a ton to do. I think writer's block is real, and a massive problem for many people, but I haven't got a lot of time to write, so when I do I tend to be ready.

Too many to list here without becoming tedious, BUT, I am very much deep into Tanith Lee's work right now. Incredible stuff, and pairs well with Clive Barker and (funny enough ) Jack Vance.
