Kirsten M. Corby You have to stop believing in it. It's isn't writer's block; it's procrastination. Make yourself sit down and start working. The work will come.
Kirsten M. Corby Right now I'm writing a novella for a shared-universe anthology with a couple writer friends. We workshopped out the milieu and the basic arc together, and I developed it myself from there. We wanted to write some positive, upbeat sci-fi, as an antidote for our troubled times.
Kirsten M. Corby I think I read Joyce Carol Oates once, who said something along the lines of "You don't get in the mood to write; writing creates the mood." I have found that to be true. Kirsten M. Corby A solarpunk novella for a themed anthology.
Kirsten M. Corby Write every day. Not just journaling, something you intend or hope for people to read. Even if you only write 200 words, it's 200 more than you had the day before.
Kirsten M. Corby Seeing your work in print. Most of the rest of it is pretty rough. Writing is not easy.
