Write and read. Often. Being a reader can help you learn style and structure but it can also give you ideas, and fuel your own imagination. As a young girl I like to read because it transported me to different places I've never been, allowed me to meet different people I'd never meet, and helped shape my creativity in the process. Now I try to write stories that will do the same for young readers.

The Noisy Classroom is about my class. I taught 3rd grade and my class was quite noisy. At the start of the year many of my students (and some of the parents) were nervous about being in such a non-traditional class. But It all worked out in the end!
