On the days when I really can't come up with anything or everything gets deleted, I walk away. Sometimes I come back a few minutes later, sometimes on a different day, but I always come back. Developing that trust in myself, to know that I can take a break and I will come back, has been priceless.

Continuing to refine my voice. I look at blog posts that I wrote 4 or more years ago, compared to ones I write today, and it's a beautiful catalog of growth. I can see how my confidence has grown, and have hope that it will continue to do so.

Learn to differentiate fear from what's real. Are you not writing because you have 2 jobs and sick kids? That's real...but if you're not writing because you're "busy" scrolling social media or watching TV (both of which I've been guilty of!), that's fear. Time to pull out your list of ideas and write.

I'll often see a quote, or have a conversation that inspires me. Because I'm not always in a place to write, I have a running list in the Notes App on my phone, that stores these ideas. When I do sit down to write, if nothing is pressing in that moment, I go to that note and see what jumps out at me.

I actually had the idea a couple of years ago...but like many of us, life got in the way and it sat in a pile of ideas until the day the big doses of inspiration & motivation struck!
