I’m writing a prequel novella to Waking Chaos that is set in the Dark Ages of Greece. It will give some back story on what happened to the Paldimori people to force them into hiding.

I love being able to just let my mind wander where it will and seeing what comes up. I surprise even myself sometimes. When a world and characters come to life for you as a writer it's like watching a movie that only you can see. Then you get to describe it to others. Sometimes it's hard to get that translation just right but being able to experience whole other worlds and lives is what makes being a writer awesome.

My love of mythology played a major role in the idea for the Paldimori Games series. I've always loved Greek mythology and architecture. However, I didn't want to do just another book on the Olympians. The Theogony by Hesoid helped me to re-imagine the Greek gods in a different way. I started thinking about what if the world didn't really form in this way or that way. What if it was an intermingling of creation theories and it's all put in jeopardy? From there the characters just took on a life of their own and the story evolved into so much more than I had initially imagined.
