S.L. Esque I go back to writing my morning pages to work out why I'm blocked. Doing the pages for a few days helps me focus on what's important again and may even help me work out a scene I'm stuck on.
S.L. Esque Sharing my stories with people. It's a simple pleasure, but I can't really think of anything more gratifying.
S.L. Esque "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right." Henry Ford. That's a quote I've lived by for a very a long time and I keep going back to it. If you think you can write (even if other people think you can't), do it. Also, look up "The Artist's Way" when you first start writing or feel stuck. It's a small time commitment every day but it is so worth it.
S.L. Esque I actually talk about that in my blog post, Writings (https://wordpress.com/posts/daysofcat...).
S.L. Esque I grew up reading and I was always writing something growing up, mostly poetry although most of my poems were based on my emotions at the time. Teen angst became the fuel I needed and writing was the best way I knew how to get everything out. As an adult, music and time seem to be my inspiration, along with my family.
S.L. Esque I got the idea for "The Universal Remote" from a nightmare. One of my biggest fears at the time I started writing this book was people leaving me behind, whether intentionally or not. I thought writing a story in a twilight zone-esque way made sense for the question of "When is the love of my life going to leave me?"
S.L. Esque This summer, I'm re-reading the Harry Potter Series, Strangers in Paradise, and the Saga series. Those are just a few of the books on my To Be Read list this summer; I'm going through my Goodreads TBR list to see which books my library has too.
