Marley Brant I don't try to force a thought. If I feel blocked, I acknowledge that I'm stalled and turn my attention to other things. Usually the block will work itself out in my subconscious and the next day I can return to my story.
Marley Brant A writer is able to choose his topic and employ his creativity. There is a lot to be said about choosing your own hours and work location as well!

Marley Brant In the Shadow is the real life, fictionalized account of Bob Younger, the youngest of the Younger Brothers. Bob's story is drawn from my 30+ years of research into the lives and times of the Youngers. I wanted to tell their story focusing on Bob, the brother who stood "in the shadow" of his older brothers as he experienced a life he didn't choose.
