If I can make my readers laugh, cry and basically experience the rollercoaster of prose and leave them breathless at the end....that is what being a writer is to me.

Believe in your writing, take your chosen path and stick with it. Be stubborn, but show patience and be receptive when it comes to criticism.

Whenever I get it I down my pen and paper and do something completely different.
Writers block I believe is a good thing, the ideas are there, it is just that, like a traffic jam they are all heading in the same direction and all at the sametime.
The highways of the mind can`t handle the volume of traffic.

My first book is finished, the next projects are a play and a novel.
The play is set in the late 1970s and is inspired by the work of Shelagh Delaney. It is very much a pet project at the moment, though I have posted an excerpt on Scriggler https://scriggler.com/DetailPost/Stor...
The novel is the story of Nick Berry, he fell off a ladder in order to save money. The consequences of that fall can be also be read on Scriggler https://scriggler.com/DetailPost/Stor...
My hope is this novel will be completed by the end of this year, maybe even sooner if it attracts interest from readers.
I almost forgot, there is another book I am working on. It is a scifi story called 410 every month, I update it with a new chapter and post it on Smashwords for free. it is my way of saying thank you to all the readers and their support.

Inspiration is a bit like trying to carry water in ones cupped hands.
One minute it is there, and the next they are empty.
I never look for inspiration, for some reason it seems to find me so I am fortunate in that sense.
The challenge for me is to make something out of nothing, to turn that inspiration in whatever form it arrives in my muddled head, into something tangible....to breath life into it.
