I was with a group of friends just chattin' it up, informal conversation about our lives and as I listened, not one person owned up to taking responsibility for the bad decisions they had made which resulted in their current situation. Each person blamed someone else for their hurt, pain, resentment, etc...and never acknowledge their role/participation.
I told them I was gonna write a book entitled "It Might Just Be You." and Whalla!

Just start writing!!! Do not compare yourself to other Authors, even if your subject matter is the same. Your style and how you present will be different.
Your experiences are also different.
Do an extensive research on the Pros & Cons of self-publishing vs. tradition publishers and decide which fits you. There's no "write" or wrong answer to your publishing decision.

In addition to sharing all my "wisdom" lol.....It's very therapeutic! During the period time of a difficult childhood, writing was my life line and salvation.

I rarely deal with writer's block. What I tend to do is jot down ideas, (plots, characters, themes, etc...) everyday, either on writing pad or tape record my thoughts on my IPhone..... this way, you never "forget" that great thought, idea, storyline, etc... It "lessens" having writer's block, because you can always refer back to your notes....
