Yes, it is very similar to the barefoot investor. There’s no denying that. I feel it goes into much more detail though, and is a bit of a step up. The “investing 101” chapter was my favourite.

This book is jam packed with general information on all the "need to know" financial information any millennial needs to know. If you are brand new to finance and need to get your bearings it's a good book for that.

I’m not sure what people are talking about, I found the bare foot investor not applicable to me (maybe because I’m in my early 20s) but this book was so helpful!
