I didn't know the latin, greek, hebrew, french, or german directly quoted in the text. I especially enjoyed the biblical survey on the doctrine of Christ. Didn't particularly benefit from the philosophical discussions of the day. I read this in hardback, not nook. ...more

Worth the time!

would have given the book 5 stars, but some of the content is dated. certain parts of the book, I had to persevere through, to get to the good stuff, but it was well worth it! books like this should be read more in our times. ...more
