This story can be summarized as follows: Two guys who are awaiting their flights speak about Japan and its traditions. Simple? Don’t be misled by this apparent simplicity. It does not take away the value of what the author is saying in his short story.

I previously read a book about the cloning of Ch ...more

For those of you on a path to self discovery or those who think you know who you are, read this. I absolutely believe that every single one of us has a mask if not many. I myself for years have tried to mold myself into a better person but I think it was really just another mask. ...more

It's not every day you come across a story that resonates with meaning at many levels all at once while keeping you guessing whether the wisdom it contains is worth your time spent reading from one line to the next. At first Norm is not sure about the other but he figures he’ll be polite and hear him out and maybe pick up some hints on how to act in Japan in Ray N. Kuili’s THE ...more

I'm not sure it would suit someone who had read a huge amount of this kind of literature because it is neither particularly deep nor intellectual but it is well written. It touches on the well-known theme of self-disc ...more

The last mask, is an interesting read. It is short and to the point. If the author meant for me to think, then he has accomplished that through this short story.

In the book, even though the conversation between the two characters is not as engaging as I hoped it to be, I felt as though this would be ...more

If you’re anything like me, every once in a while you read something you wish you had written; it resembles your beliefs / thoughts / maybe even aspirations so much you feel it could have come from you (though I am certainly not a talented fiction writer). Therefore, how could I not recommend this s ...more
