The charming streets and interconnected lives of his neighbors often find their way into his fictional small towns.

A lifelong fan of film noir, his writing blends the atmospheric tension of classic detective films with the warmth and quirky characters of small-town Canadian settings. When not writing, A.J. can be found exploring local trails with his dogs, attending film festivals, or sampling craft beers at neighborhood pubs.
