I would also put it in the same class as The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and A Man Called Ove. It's a wonderful story about courage and redemption and acceptance and.... I stayed up way too late a few nights because I just couldn't turn it off. And I cried at the end.(less)

Wat 'n uitputtende boek! Ek was nie gereed vir 'n derm uitryger soos hierdie boek nie.

Die boek handel oor 'n seun (sonder naam), wat dood is aan 'n harttoestand en sy pa wat namens hom sy boys scout pligte oorneem. 'n Vriendskap word gevorm tussen 'n baie ou vrou en die seun se ouers. Van daar af ryg en ryg en ryg die skrywer aan en aan en aan, todat die boek uiteindelik tot 'n einde kom.
