Scott Came home late from work one night and ended staying up later solely for this interview because seeing an author interview on a late night talk show is rare nowdays.

I applaud Ferguson for inviting Lawrence Block to his show. Mr. Ferguson admittedly wanted Block on because he had been a fan of his work, which was cool to hear. I liked Block's personality here, and the whole thing inspired me to go out and purchase The Sins of the Fathers, which later hooked me into Block's other works... Months later I saw an excellent conditioned (used) HC copy of Enough Rope for $5 (unbelievable!) at a bookstore and snatched that baby right up. Proud to have it!
Thanks to Block and Ferguson for further feeding my bookish appetite!

Lawrence Block This comment's been here 11 months but first I've seen it. Let me just say what an extraordinary fellow Craig Ferguson is. If you only know his comedic genius from the TV show, you're missing a remarkable writer. His memoir American on Purpose is wonderful, and his novel, Between the Bridge and the River, is truly brilliant. He's a real writer, wrote film and TV before his performing overshadowed the other. I'm biased, because my several appearances on the show have led to a friendship that's important to me.

Brian Layman That was truly enjoyable. I'm always somewhat trepidatious as I watch an author interview. Readers invest a lot of emotion in their favorite books and want to be able to like and respect the authors. At least, that is true for me. This interview had me smiling as much as I do as I read the books. Mr. Block (I just can't type Larry outright) you look sound and carry yourself like someone with whom I'd thoroughly enjoy having dinner. For now I'll have to settle for spending time with your words. I'm planning to re-read the whole Rhodenbarr series soon just for a fix. For now, thank you for your books and the hours of enjoyment. (And how did you keep from cringing each time Craig slammed or hit that book and dust cover! I'm still cringing just thinking of it!)
