I'm so uninvolved in this book. I can read Juliette being like: [image error] But I just really don't give a fuck about her problems.

Oh thank God I'm done. I will admit it got slightly better towards the end, but it's still shit to me. I'll let the good Doctor sum up my feelings about this book (until I write up my review on Tuesday, of course) [image error] He's such cutie.

I can do nothing but attempt to keep up. And I fail. So, not only is she now oblivious and stupid, but weak? And it makes even less sense because, just a short time ago, you broke through concrete with your bare hands..........I.....I..... [image error]

It never occurred to me to ask Adam where we might go. [image error] That just occurred to you now, Juliette, after you've had about two weeks to plan this but didn't, and then jumped out of a tall building with guards out for your head? Where the hell is this so-called "intelligent" girl?

So I honestly hate the love interest, Adam, more than I hate the supposed villain because of how Juliette describes him, and how quickly Mafi made them fall in lust love with each other. It seriously took about.......twenty pages. [image error] I hate it. And I hate them.

Infinite points of feeling for every nerve ending in my body and his right had is behind my neck and his left hand is reeling me in and his lips are falling down my shirt and I don't understand why I need to wear clothes anymore and I'm a cumulonimbus existence of thunder and lightning and the possibility of exploding... I.... I can't! [image error]

Is it terrible that I'm enjoying you reading this book? I mean, sucks for you and I'm sorry you're being tortured in such a cruel and unusual way and all that jazz, but the status updates are brilliant.

I'm a bad person.

Cait Nahhhhh, Kelly, it's totally fine. That's what I'm here for: to display my pain over books for all of goodreads!

Sigh.

message 3: by Jess (new) - rated it 1 star

Jess I'm reading Shatter Me right now as well, and OH MY GOD, how did the editors not bring out buckets of red paint and paint all the pages?? I just.. I just can't.

*Sigh* No comment...

message 5: by Cory (new)

Cory This book reads like something I would've written three years ago. That's not good.

I'm positive the same goes for expressing joy over good books, too. And personally, I'd rather know Cait's pain so I'm prepared/aware of what I'm getting myself into if I were to decide to pick up this book myself.

Mhmm

John Egbert I can't tell if that's a legitimate "mhmm" or a sarcastic one or a passive aggressive one, so I think I'll just leave it alone...

I think that would be best

John Egbert ...although Cait has only made legitimate complaints.

Skyla Cait I love your status updates they make me laugh.

Don't worry; I'm ready to accept that Mocha is mad at me for not liking this book; I mean, what's the worst she can do? Throw frosting at me? ;)

*deliberately egging Mochas on*

Cory wrote: "This book reads like something I would've written three years ago. That's not good."

No, Cory, it's not good. Although she's done less crossing-out sections than she did the other 250 freaking pages I just can't stand this book. I don't even want to know what the end is going to be like; probably a bunch of run-on sentences galore as she has to make a "big choice" and freaks out.

Jess wrote: "I'm reading Shatter Me right now as well, and OH MY GOD, how did the editors not bring out buckets of red paint and paint all the pages?? I just.. I just can't."

Nope I have no idea either, Jess. I can't stand it at all; and I'm not saying that the people who like this book (since it's almost everyone) isn't wrong, but I just think this book sucks.

message 15: by Khrystina (new)

Khrystina Cait, your pain is plausible. You have better self control cause I would have shredded it a long time ago!

Haha, never said I was mad either. And getting frosting thrown at you is pretty bad. (what if it's frozen frosting?!)

message 17: by Cait (new) - rated it 2 stars

Cait Okay, then let me rephrase: I know that you have a different opinion and that's fine; I seem to be a minority of the book, anyways.

Welllll..........frozen frosting is a totally different story, Mochas..........*slowly backs away*

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't worry, freezer isn't working properly right now so no frozen frosting....YET * maniacal laughter*

message 19: by Cait (new) - rated it 2 stars

Cait I think I'm just going to take a trip to somewhere right on the equator line, now. Or maybe the Sahara Desert.........

John Egbert Clever, Cait, clever.

Leanne Bell I'm now thinking twice about this one. Sounds like a trying book, reminds me of the struggle I had trying to read Betwixt by Tara Bray Smith :-/

I mean, I'm almost done with it now and I'm going to write my review, but like I said I seem to be in the minority in this book and you may love it. This book is just honestly not that good to me.
