2,5h in... "Children are precious to us." Now, WHERE have I JUST heard this? Hmm? On the other hand, Donaldson's badass Giants are fifteen googolplex times more interesting than some hairless-groined hippie elves. Also, what's E-Dragon's newest title now supposed to be? Eragon Hareliphealer? Why do I have a feeling this piece of plot will play no part whatsoever in the upcoming events?

Saga’s Previous Updates

Saga
Saga is finished
And so, after an über-stretched epilogue, E-Dragon takes leave for Valinor with an elven ship, accompanied by a rip-off hummy song from The Return of the King. What an original ending, indeed!

SPARKLEDRAGON SEXYTIEMS!!! So, this is almost like Breaking Dawn, but with big lizards now? =D

27/31 "Make it stop! Make it stoop!" Galbatorix pulls a serious Dumbledore. For Perkele's sake, would've wanted to see him defeat the superspeshul shadeslaying demigodbishie, rather than the other way round. Now that would've been a twist.

Blaablaa blaadidaa...I knew the ok-ish chapters weren't going to last. "Galbatorix's eyebrows met above his nose." O RLY? I thought they were meeting underneath his nose. Oh, and Galby apparently sounds approximately like Christopher Lee. Then there's a sword called Light(s)bringer, which reminds me of its namesake in ASOIAF. If Paolini's been reading Martin, then he never learned anything about character flaws.

H'okay, perhaps this is a teensy weensy bit better than Brickingr, which was so uneventfully dull I scarcely can recall anything about it. There've been at least a few chapters now that have held my attention with minimal groaning. Still, why does everything have to sparkle all the damn time?

12/31. Yesh, that was a tiny respite from the Mary Sue fest. Now Angela joins the company with the ability to bend time and wielding a blade even moderately kewlier than E's Flaming Sword of Fire. Woo. When the hell is this going to end.

Huh, something's finally happening that doesn't involve E-Dragon the Invincible in godmode, and it wasn't that badly written either. If only it hadn't taken TEN HOURS to get to this point. *eyeroll* Likely hereafter the plot'll sink back into the collective pit of marysueisms and pointless minutiae again. Humf. By the way, what do moth wings smell like?

Saga is reading
""Hammer! Where is my hammer?" -- He spotted the handle of his weapon protruding from beneath the legs of a nearby warrior. He pulled it free." --Roran . . . Seriously. How can the author NOT spot the sniggerworthy connotations in passages like this? Or is he doing this on purpose? 7/31 hours put behind; egads this is slow going. Oh, and Saphira loses a scale. What a plot point.

Saga is reading
"She sparkled like a mound of azure coals." --Disco ball dragon engage! 5,5h in, and I've stumbled upon only a single actually amusing bit: Angela telling fables to a mixed band of werecats and Orcs...Trollocs...er, Urgals. In the meantime, Eragon's He-Man impersonation with his flaming sword of fire held aloft was probably mean to be srs bsnss, but left me mainly in gigglefits.

"Not even our most skilled enchanters could improve on your grammary." GODS. I HATE THIS GARY STU DINOCRAP. He's had, what, a few months at most to learn the Ancient Language, and the most skilled of the elves would not be able to find error in his spellcasting? WHAT. Paopao's just SO clueless. I'm inviting him to write a novella in Finnish after three months of studies. Since that's what Eragon's practically doing.
