Amber J. maybe it's so you can relate to Cassia's situation no matter where you live; I'm doing something similar in a book I'm working on because I want to rep my city but I also want readers to be able to see themselves in the characters; if she named the specific place a lot of people (especially those from that place) might be critical of her descriptions and world-building instead of just focusing on the plot...just a thought


Laurel That's a good point. I just want something more than, "This is a Society running a City." It's not giving me a reason to care about it, if that makes any sense.
