I feel sorry for Leo. The poor guy feels responsible for the death of his mother, he's been running away from foster homes his whole life. And even when he comes to Wilderness school and gets Jason and Piper for friends he becomes the third wheel as Jason and Piper become romantically involved. Then he likes Khione, who rejects him. And on top of that he has to keep his one special power, fire, a secret.

Now that Piper is smart and beautiful, if any of the other seven demigods is a daughter of Athena then no one will pay any attention to her 'cause she's only smart and Piper is both smart and pretty. In order to keep the balance Riordan should show that Piper's some sort of caring mother hen who brings the two camps together but only as far as that. Leave the bravery and figuring out to Athena's cabin please.

Piper isn't a child of Aphrodite, she's a mixture of Aphrodite and Athena. If Riordan gives the qualities of courage and intelligence to an Aphrodite child then he undermines the value of the Athena children 'cause now the Aphrodite has beauty and brain. So why bother with just smart Athena? Riordan should keep Aphrodite kids as the stupid models they are so that every demigod has their own unique strong point

Instead, Paris and Helen prove how cumbersome, unnecessary and selfish love can be. Then Aphrodite gives this long lecture about how she was their from the very beginning(I have no idea how this proves her important) and how she and her children are necessary too. And her excuse for being petty and shallow? "A girl has to indulge".

Aphrodite tries to prove the importance of love through Helen and Paris. She forgets that the two of them were shallow and selfish, and they caused hundreds of brave Greeks and Trojans to die for their meaningless love. paris didn't have the guts to fight Menelaus himself so instead he asked hundreds of Trojan soldiers to fight and die for him instead. Paris and Helen aren't proof of the power of love.

Why is Riordan so desperate to prove that Aphrodite is not as shallow as he himself portrayed her to be? Aphrodite is shallow, she's dumb, she's useless. And so are her children.

I'm sure Jason's camp is either on or near Mount Diablo. I was wrong, they've gone to get save Piper's dad. and Thalia has gone to protect Hera. I'm no sure that was the best decision in the world. Hera is supposed to be their priority.

I'm glad that Jason and Leo weren't mad at Piper for being a traitor. I wonder what they're going to do-save Hera or Piper's dad. If they save Hera first then McLean gets killed. But if they try to save Titan McLean then they fall into Enceladus' trap. I'm betting that they'll go save Hera first. Then they can think of a way to get Titan back.

Finally, they met Thalia. So now we know how Hera got her hands on Jason and more importantly, why Thalia hadn't mentioned or looked for him all these years. And they have an idea about the existence of the other half blood camp. Now if only they can unite with that camp, then Zeus will understand the gravity of his mistake.

I wonder why the souls aren't confined to Hades anymore. What could have caused that? Don't the gods know about this? And if they do, why aren't they doing anything about it? Who's this patron who Medea keeps on harping about? Why does she only show herself to Leo? And who are the remaining four of the seven half bloods? Please, please tell me that Percy and Annabeth are a part of the seven.

I don't like Piper much yet, but i don't hate her like I used to. She still hasn't proved her worth on the battle field, and her only power is charmspeaking which I find wrong and sneaky. But she understood how wrong it is to take away someone's will and she wanted Jason to have his memories back, in spite of the fact that she might lose him if he does. So I guess she's not that bad.
