Dree Challenging in what way?

Cindy Lots of characters to keep track of - all with crazy Turkish names. There is a lot of Turkish words/jargon as well. And he writes in a complex literary sort of way, so some paragraphs I've had to go over twice. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm really liking it - I like flexing the brain muscles.

Dree I got my dose of that in My Name Is Red!

Cindy ooooh... I've heard Pahmuk can be hard.

Dree Let's just say that it would have been very very helpful to be culturally literate in all things Turkey.

Cindy Bummer. If only it required being knowledgeable in turkey dinners... yummm...

Kathy You can make us Turkish food. We would also eat turkey, anything to help you, Cindy.

Heh! We should do Turkish/Mediterranean when we're on the coast.
