I'm really enjoying all of the history in the book, both Japanese and American.

The book is great, going slowly only because I can't read too much at a time because I start to hate the entire human race...and we can't have that. James Bradley is a fantastic writer, and he put so much time into the research of this book. I definitely didn't learn the stories he wrote in history class!

Exposing the background leading up to the attack on pearl harbor. It's weird, but it's easy to identify with the Japanese from the standpoint that they were only doing what all of the leading nations had done to gain land and power, but the Japanese were rebuked by the UN. Interesting to feel compassion and disgust at the same time for the Japanese. And also horror to realize what humans can be capable of.
