Bougainvillea - I think this is the best story I've ever read from Carrie Ryan. Now here's a storyteller who's improving! Iza was no Mary: Iza was refreshing and surprising. And what a gripping story about power, pirates, and -- of course -- zombies!

Prom Night - Very dystopian. It almost reminded me in some respects of Michael Grant's Gone series -- except with zombies. Bray really knows how to deliver with her short stories. I really liked the characters in this one.

The Third Virgin - Oddly, this was one of the more gripping stories to me. I loved how the perspective was from a unicorn -- and a twisted one, at that! Very melanchology and sad, yes, but I enjoyed it.

Cold Hands - Eh. I usually love the macabre -- but this story was just blasé. The more I read from Clare, the more lacking I find her characters and stories. Better luck next time, I suppose.

Princess Prettypants - Need to get even? Just call Princess Prettypants, human-defending unicorn supreme. :)

Inoculata - Not impressed by this one. Everything I read by Westerfeld seems to read the same.

The Care and Feeding of Your Baby Killer Unicorn - I love Peterfreund's killer unicorn world. No, I don't know if I'd want my own killer unicorn (since it might look at my cat as a tempting snack), but I still think the idea and mythology are very neat. I really need to finish Rampant/Ascendant.

The Children of the Revolution - A little weak. I just can't stand dumb heroines anymore, I guess -- even for satire's sake.

A Thousand Flowers - I've never read anything by Margo Lanagan before, so I was wary coming into this story. Alas, I was pleasantly surprised. I envy her mastery of language and storytelling -- and also that she's not afraid to put true horror and grotesque/uncomfortable elements in her tales. I hope to read more of her short stories in the future.

Purity Test - The bad thing about this story was that it tried too hard to be funny. Still -- I loved the sarcastic unicorn and the baby unicorns who love chocolate milk. :)

Love Will Tear Us Apart - Very interesting. I don't usually like second-person narratives, but this one was really good. I like the open ending too. We must not beware of vampires stalking high schools now in YA stories -- but ZOMBIES. Mwahaha. (I think I just jinxed myself since that probably WILL be the new trend in a year or two.)

★ Jess What is the book like as a whole? Because I am not sure weather or not to read it? Let me know what you think!

Kendall [Kenny] I've never read anything else by her, but that story was great!
