So due to outlet location in this less-than-stellar motel room and the length of the micro USB cables I brought on vacation, my tablet and cell phone will be sleeping with me tonight. I hope they don't hog the covers.

Hotels are a pain that way. The last one I was in I had to unplug the bedside lamp and wrestle the stand out of alignment to get to the only available outlet.

Oh, yeah, I skipping the bit about having to pull the mattress partially off the frame and unplug the lamp. Good thing the tablet screen is bright.
Last hotel I visited had the outlet by the floor next to the loo, no sleepwalking to go peeing there, cause the chairs were bolted to the floor over by the window, I would rather have slept with them (my pretties, not the chairs) ;)This was a 4 star hotel by the way o.O
Last place I stayed was a cabin in the woods with no plugs at all. You had to go to the main lodge to plug anything in.

No. I've had to unplug a lamp a time or two but never had the only outlet stuck behind the bed. And I'd say most of the time there's one very near the little desk or table along with an internet jack. And chairs bolted down? Seriously? Worst I've seen was the TV remote glued to the nightstand.

True. The remote thing would have drive me nuts. What's the point of a remote then?
Lenore wrote: "Seriously? Glued?"Well, I'm not sure glue was used, but shall we say, very solidly affixed. Other places I've seen them on those little wires or chains like they used to have for pens at the bank. I understand it's small it gets lost, and you're probably going to mainly use it from the bed anyway. But this place it was stuck on there and you had to lean over and look at it to work the TV.
