Rakhi Dalal Just wow!

message 2: by Richard (new)

Richard Yeah, Rakhi, just wow is right...hard to know which thing to have the envious hissy fit over, the apartment or the books or the bookcases or the **view** or....

Seak (Bryce L.) Good point, I was just looking at the bookshelves, but I'd gladly take everything else. :D

message 4: by Richard (new)

Richard No kiddin'! Any/all of it would suit me down to the ground!

message 5: by Rose (new)

Rose I would love to have a reading area like that. I hope eventually when I get my own house to have a special reading room. Mine would probably be two levels if I could design it the way I wanted.

Richard Rose, if you're on Pinterest, I've pinned this photo there so you could repin it and use it as inspiration and motivation!

Richard, please give us your Pinterest link.

The only thing that worries me is the lack of a cozy corner where I could sit and read all of those books. I love the minimalism of this space.

Richard Pinterest is a members-only site, Jane, and if you'd like to join I'll be glad to send you an invitation via email. Send me a PM and I'll take care of it.

I think that odd double chaise with no arms could work as a reading spot if relocated across the room and given a side table for book overflow and beverage storage.

Jane I've been on Pinterest for ages, Richard. Find me here.

That chaise isn't very cozy. I need cozy.

message 11: by Richard (new)

Richard Oh ah! Then here I am.

No joke! I think the books plus the view make me forgive all other things I'm not so happy about. Like that *horrid* rug!

Tessa It's absolutely droolworthy as it is . . . but, I would add a glossy black concert grand Bosendorfer!

Charles Cornell What's the view of? And where do the stairs go to? This is every book lover's dream hideout! Congrats on the design!

It's drool-worthy, for sure...wherever it is, I wanna live in it!

Isn't it wonderful? I don't know where it is, and I suspect the stairs go to a loft/second level. If I ever find it, I'm gonna kill the residents and tell God they died so I can move in!

Sounds like an interesting plot for a novel!... 'The stranger moved upstairs on Saturday. Funny, but I didn't notice the other people move out...'

Richard Heh! Time to go all Tom Ripley on 'em!

I did love the Ripley books Highsmith wrote. They got steadily creakier as she did, but they were still a load of fun.
