This will probably be the book I come back to the most. I really like the way its written - it's clear, it's honest and it seems to be confident that you are capable of getting a really fantastic GRE score. I am pleased :) I will be taking their advice and getting touch with some admissions offices soon to ask about their score range. I'm excited to start using their general strategies on some practice exams.

Although I'm not concerned about the verbal part of the test nearly as much as I am the math portion, I'm planing on working through the entire book to absorb their test-taking strategies. While their procedure for answering questions may be unnecessary for some easier questions, I know I will appreciate having these skills when I get stuck during the exam.

Finally getting into the meat of the actual test prep. This book starts with the verbal exam, which I think is pretty standard for all test prep books because most people see the verbal section as the "easy" section. I like that they really emphasize test taking strategy over vocab drills

Their breakdown of the actual test day is pretty intense and sort of stressful, even though they obviously want this to help you feel more confident by knowing what to expect on the day. I don't. I'm nervous all over again.

A much more relaxing study guide. Very informal language and very to the point. "The GRE tests how well you take the GRE." FACT. About every single standardized test. However, it is still a necessity if you want to be competitive in grad schools applications. I liked it's quick breakdown of what has changed about the GRE. I've taken the test before (and didn't do so hot) so this list helped a lot.

Yes, I will be tracking my study plan for the GRE on Goodreads. I'm a little strange.
