Richard Dawkins
“Let children learn about different faiths, let them notice their incompatibility, and let them draw their own conclusions about the consequences of that incompatibility. As for whether they are ‘valid,’ let them make up their own minds when they are old enough to do so.”
Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion

Jaakko There's clear wisdom in this -- with a little modification:
"Let children learn about different faiths, let them notice their _similarities_, and let them draw their own conclusions about the consequences of _those similarities_. As for whether they are ‘valid,’ let them make up their own minds when they are old enough to do so."
... To which I'd add: _"and decide out how they what to change the faiths/religions they've grown up with."_

Is the glass of human understanding and empathy half-empty or half-full? ... that is a question!
