Larry I set my goal for a book a week and will obtain this barely. I find your accomplishment of 125 very impressive and I congratulate you!!

Emily Crowe Thanks, Larry. I'm a bookseller, so while I cannot read during work, I'm expected to read FOR work, so I get a lot of reading done each year. For too many years I set my goal too high and never achieved it, so now I set it at 125 and then allow myself to feel good if I can exceed it.

My husband's goal was 50 books this year, similar to you. He's a much more careful and thorough reader than I am, and he retains much more than i do about the books I read.

Larry It sounds as if we may have many similarities I like your husband am very thorough (to a fault because I can never read a book or see a movie twice it is to boring) My daughter is not a bookseller but instead is simply a book lover who was challenged in her youth by my mother (a teacher)to read 10 books over the summer. Any of the grand kids that completed the task would receive $$ my daughter was the only one who finished (she more than doubled it) and thus started her love for reading she is also on Goodreads you should friend her (Jenee Rager) she set a goal of 112 this year and has 127 so far..

Emily Crowe I didn't know Jenee was your daughter. We're actually already friends here on Goodreads, though I'm not sure how we found each other. Probably one of us wrote a review that the other liked, but I don't recall...
