Inspired Kathy Good luck! 250 was my goal last year... I only hit 126. This year I'm aiming for 150.

Thanks Kathy - I failed miserably last year - I aimed for 365 but only read 245 so I decided to be more realistic this year!
Good luck to you!

Lindsay (Everyday Is An Adventure) Wow, kudos to both of you...I was only able to get to 65 this past year but I have two very young kids that take up a great deal of my time so maybe as they get older I will be able to read more!

Shelleyrae at Book'd Out Lol - actually no, you read less - I have four kids and 6, 7, 9 and 15

Lindsay (Everyday Is An Adventure) Oh funny! Well then you impress me even more now that I know that!

Inspired Kathy I read way more now that my kids are older. I have 5 kids ages 6 to 17 and I read tons now. When they were little I was too tired most of the time.

LOl See when my kids were little they never slept so most of the time I was awake nursing or rocking with a book in one hand - otherwise I would have gone insane LOL

Lindsay (Everyday Is An Adventure) Yeah, that nursing time was KEY to reading and when I only had one child I read ALL THE TIME. Now that there are two both under three, I am usually able to get in 20-30 pages per night and that's it. More on the weekends, but it never feels like enough!

TC I don't know how you do it. Last year I hit 157 or 158 but most of that was when my toddler was a nightmare to get to sleep, would take 2 hrs most nights but I could sit and read by torch light. Not so easy to find the time now.

Bec I'm not sure how many i actually read last year - this is the first time i'm doing this so i thought i'd start with 100 since i've got a full year of study on this year (studing to be a librarian!) but very impressed with 250!

message 19: by Jackie (new)

Jackie How do you do it!? Wow I am struggling just to get 150 books read. I don't think I'll make it .

message 20: by Alyce (new)

Alyce Rocco Fantastic! Achieving goals is always a wonderful thing.

October 2004 - into 2005 I read 365 books. I do not know if I ever got them all recorded here at Goodreads. Not a goal I would set for myself in 2013. At the moment I do not know if I could do 8 books to create a 2012 challenge!

LOl Laurel :) Ok how about page count :) According to my stats I'm at roughly 80594 plus a few thousand since some of the ebooks I have read are listed with 0 pages.

Seriously though - congrats!

Oh, you'll definitely be beating me on page count! I've got YA, graphic novels, novellas all mixed up in there.
