Patricia Marx's writing is full of wit and humor. Makes for a light entertaining read. I laughed out loud many times while reading this novel. However, the story seems to drag on for too long much like a skit on Saturday Night Live. I finally got around to reading this collection of short stories and continue to be impressed with Eggers' ability to evolve as a writer. In this collection, the characters find themselves in these in-between places that lead to awkward, yet enlightening encounters. The prose sparkles and delights throughout and I'm amazed at how Eggers manages to be funny and profound and true in the span of a sentence.
