This is the type of book I love to hate. This book has outstanding character development and painted the scene vividly. The characters react believably and you can FEEL their emotions and thoughts. Within a few hundred pages the protagonists are placed in a downward spiral with no real hope of recovery. This book presented the protagonists with non-stop depressing and hopeless situations with not even a semblance of explanation.

I really didn't like this book… but, I have been thinking about it for the last two weeks. I think that alone makes it pretty potent.
