Jim Jim said: "Lovely Haiku. I put this under "currently reading" because you do not devour some 700 or so (unsure of number, I am not with the book) Haiku bang bang bang all in a row. You savor them one at a time.

I'll read more of this

Some of this is gloriously good.

This series, for me at least, ranges from being a Decent Children's Book, to approaching some kind of glorious christen mysticism. (I'm thinking mostly of the end f Dawn Treader)

A book that has some truly gorgeous writing in it. Curious in co concerns a Love Story between the two title characters who don't meet till past the half-way mark. Indeed, the "glass cathedral" idea is not introduced until about the 3/4 mark or so.

William T. Vollmann
“So he lent her books. After all, one of life's best pleasures is reading a book of perfect beauty; more pleasurable still is rereading that book; most pleasurable of all is lending it to the person one loves: Now she is reading or has just read the scene with the mirrors; she who is so lovely is drinking in that loveliness I've drunk.”
William T. Vollmann

Charles Frazier
“One thing he discovered with a great deal of astonishment was that music held for him more then just pleasure. There was meat to it. The grouping of sounds, their forms in the air as they rang out and faded, said something comforting to him about the rule of Creation. What the music said was that there is a right way for things to be ordered so that life might not always be just tangle and drift, but have a shape, an aim. It was a powerful argument that life did not just happen.”
Charles Frazier, Cold Mountain
