I enjoyed this book but I can't give it a very fair review...It took me longer to read this book then it ever has. It took so long because I was spending so much time online, watching TV and doing other things, not because I didn't enjoy it. Also, I have only been sleeping about 2-3 hours a night for the last 5-6 months so every time I laid down to read I would fall asleep! It doesn't seem fair to the book to do a review when you really don't give it your full attention.
I will say that for as long as it took me to read this, I didn't lose interest nor did I forget much. The writing was compelling and I continued to like the characters and have an interest in what they did. The one disappointment that I did have though, was the ending...I felt let down after reading it. There should have been more, as far as I was concerned but, instead, it just ended. I really felt let down.
I will read more from this author...his other books that I have read were enjoyable and, though I didn't care for the ending, I liked this one also. ]]>

Since the only one that I have ever watched is Reba, I would have to say that! I haven't desired to see NCIS, I've seen parts here and there and occasionally watched previews, but never sat through an entire show. I have never heard of The Soup or Royal Pains so couldn't even tell you what they are about. ]]>

This was an excellent book told through the eyes of the father(Eric), of a young man under suspicion in the disappearance of an eight-year-old girl who he had been babysitting. There is mystery and suspense but mostly the book concentrates on the effect that the situation has on the dad, and the family. Unlike the typical story with this type of situation, Eric is not sure what to believe when it comes to his son and, as the novel goes on, he starts to question what he knows of everyone.
The writing was superb and I found myself not wanting to put this book down. It flowed really well and my interest never waned, as a mom I felt each emotion that the author did. This was the first book from Mr. Cook that I have read but it will definitely not be my last. ]]>
