A good teen book; enough of a plot to keep you interested but not overly complex. The characters are rather unlikable, however this adds to the emotive plot.

My year 9+ students would love it.

A funny and interesting story which balances a tale of a confused love story with an interesting and moving history of Ukraine.
The likeable character of the father one with the confused sympathies of the other characters are clever and captivating.
