I felt like the series was/is picking up a little bit again and that makes me excited. I've felt for the last few books that the story has been lacking substance but the last two have definitely shown improvement. I look forward to the next installme...more

I will fully admit that the beginning of this book bored me nearly to tears. I am, however, grateful that I continued as it really turned into a special book. I was dying to find out for the longest time what The Terrible Awful was and was suitably h...more

This was a cute book. I loved that it was different. How many steampunk romances are there even out there? It was a great idea, unique and it made it a fun read.

I was sad to see this trilogy end. I am hopeful that Kelley writes many more that intertwine as beautifully as her adult series does. I'd even like to see some overlap happen. That said, I understand what Kelley said at her signing that the teens can...more

I must say that I am quite impressed with a lot of the teen fiction that's out there these days and this is no exception. The story is fast paced and somehow manages to be realistic- even when dealing with werewolves and sorcery. The characters make ...more

I quite liked this book even though it was very clearly young adult- moreso than the other young adult books I've recently read. That said, I can't blame that on the book because it's SUPPOSED to be for a younger audience.

I loved the story. It drew ...more

This continuation of Stargirl's story- this time from Stargirl's view- was cute, but nothing special. It was heartbreaking to read of how much she still loved the boy who hurt her in the first book and that made her a lot more human than the first bo...more

I'm actually writing this review a few months after my actual reading of this book which has given me more insight into it than I anticipated. It was okay. It was a cute premise, but it's one that we've seen and heard so often that... unfortunately i...more

Sarah Addison Allen
“Books can be possessive, can't they? You're walking around in a bookstore and a certain one will jump out at you, like it had moved there on its own, just to get your attention. Sometimes what's inside will change your life, but sometimes you don't even have to read it. Sometimes it's a comfort just to have a book around. Many of these books haven't even had their spines cracked. 'Why do you buy books you don't even read?' our daughter asks us. That's like asking someone who lives alone why they bought a cat. For company, of course.”
