This was a great continuation of this series. I love how Sergei writes his characters, and it’s nice to really start to see some of the same characters over and over again especially ones that in the past seemed to play a more minor role. This book kept you guessing until the end as to what the final game play would be. I have enjoyed this series view on magic as a whole, since it is a drastic turn from most stories. Anton's growth was a joy to watch, even though his magic state remains at "higher magician,” the personal growth and intellectual growth was fun to read. Though how much of that is him and how much is. . . well you’ll need to read the book to find out what!

It has made me want to go back and re-read the entire series to watch this character growth from the beginning. This book fits well in the world that Sergei has created, and leaves you wanting more!

Having read the description of this book I felt a little confused when I first started reading. This is not a book about the supernatural per say. While I enjoyed the supernatural elements of Lyft, the real joy of the story was the subterfuge of the terrorist plot! Once I got over my expectance of more magic, and less modern history, I found myself laughing out loud at the antics! It took me a bit to get into the storyline, but overall it was very well written! The characters were very believable, and I enjoyed the growth found by all. The interweaving of multiple stories (the terrorists, treasure hunt, and overall goal of saving the earth) was balanced out nicely! Overall a fun book and one I look forward to reading again without the original vision I had.
