Pretty good book about Chris Coste's career. He had a really interesting path to the majors and it includes stints as marketing director of an independent league team and talk show host. It was a little bittersweet to be reading it since it concludes after the 2007 season. I do not have the book with the 2008 addendum about winning the world series. And I felt bad that such a good guy is not on the 2009 Phillies that are trying to repeat. I think the book also captured Chris Coste's voice. He definitely wrote it and did not rely on a ghost writer which was both good and bad.

The second part about his time in Paris was much much better than the first section. The first section seemed to jump around and was very hit or miss on humor. However, almost every story in the second part was enjoyable, so I am glad I stuck with it.
Going forward and with a longer commute to work now, I think I will listen to his stories rather than read them. I think they can be much better experienced that way.

I actually started reading it again :-) Definitely not suitable for children! I wouldn't exactly say it was for "teeny-boppers", it's more in the line of the story telling you hear on NPR from Ira Glass in This American Life.
