This is the second book in the Genisis of Shannara series, and it is better than the first. This typically isn't the case. usually second books are just "all filla and no thrilla". This one did not disappoint. Brooks has some of the best characters in his stories and this one is no different. Even though it ends in a cliff hanger situation (which I hate). I still enjoyed it immensely.

I thought it was great that Terry Brooks was combining the Shanarra series with the Knight of the Word series. This book did not disappoint! I love the way Mr Brooks tells a story. He is one of the best story tellers that I have ever read. It isn't just a book, I can really get into the setting and the characters. I'm glad that I have another Word/Void storyline to read.
