Publications Another Fire is a handmade letterpress limited edition chapbook of seven poems, published in 1997 by Adastra Press, Easthampton, MA. The book is technically available via Amazon, but if you want a copy, the safest bet is to get it through me. Don't be shy! My poems and book reviews have appeared in Calyx, Quarterly West, The Silverfish Review, Willow Springs, The Laurel Review, Poet Lore, Georgetown Review, Indiana Review, and other journals. From 2000-2005, I published and edited the poetry journal Amaranth. For an idea of what I do for money, Google my name and you'll get a sampling of my professional writing, which is mostly related to e...more |

I write a lot of villanelles, and I write quite a bit about my lifelong obsession with escape artist Harry Houdini. So here's a villanelle about Houdini.

I knew you graduated from Emerson, actually. That's how I recognized your name. I was there from 92-95. I don't know if we knew each other or not--I'm awful with faces--but I know I bought a copy of your chapbook sometime in the late 90s because I knew you were an Emerson grad. Go figger. :-) Hope you're well.
