Before I begin, I would like to say that reading this must be one of those stupid things you tell yourself you shouldn't do, but I'm interested to see what goes on in the book that chased away fans. I know how it ends. I get the idea, but I...more

Control by Lydia Kang

This is a cheap designer knockoff of the X-Men series, with none of the complexity, none of the compelling social issues, and a completely preposterous faux-dystopian world. Instead of the jaw-dropping skills of the X-Men, we have a completely lac..." Read more of this review »

The World Rose by Richard Brittain
"This is the mother of all weeks regarding Internet anonymity and personal safety.

This issue needs to be taken seriously. In the meantime, stay safe, everyone." Read more of this review »
Thibaut Nicodème
Thibaut Nicodème is 87% done with The Iron Trial: The book just went from "mostly mediocre with heavy Cassandra Clare tropes and plagiarism" to "HOLY FUCKING SHIT, DO NOT EVER PORTRAY ABUSE VICTIMS AS LIARS, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, I WOULD BE TEMPTED TO BURN YOU IF THIS WASN'T AN EBOOK."

Tribute (Science Fiction & Fantasy)

Description: Before I get to the actual story, I should say this is not quite Hunger Games fan fiction. I needed to practice using third person present tense because I plan on using it for a future novel. Inspired by a book reviewer I like, I decided to try and make the killing-kids-scenario, well, make sense. I’m probably going to fail, but at least I tried. I will also do very little research since this is a vomit draft I punched out for practice. You will also not find any of the Hunger Games characters in here, but this is totally not original enough to make money off of. It's still the exact same plot. Almost. I’m sharing it with you because I’m a crazy writer who wants to share. Steal it, and I will summon some dark force to invade your nightmares and devour your pitiful dreams. Cthulhu seems popular, but I’ve always been partial to Lucifer myself. He’s more into mind games, less into the rend and tear. If you like it, don’t be a stranger. Share it, tell me you want to have it’s babies, whatever. Just don’t be quiet. No one likes a lurker.
