Really loved this book on both a micro and macro level--the individual stories are wonderful on their own, but the way they add shading to one another and layer upon one another is even better.

Just finished this. I think it may be my favorite of all the Murakami books I've read. Fascinating story, lots of beautiful magic realism, and an actually fleshed out female protagonist who's not just a blank slate.
