<about><![CDATA[I'm a man in my 40's, married father of 2. I was raised by my grandparents on an Arkansas ranch. I could ride a horse by age 4 and identify myself as a cowboy, even though I'm far removed from that life now. My graduating class was the first to be integrated; this was significant to this town and me, since both were quite bigoted. During college, my heart and views shifted radically toward minorities, particularly black people. This transformation has been pivotal to my view of Jesus Christ and his place in my life. For much of my life, I didn't know my father or mother, because they divorced when I was a baby, and left Arkansas. I allowed my ensuing feelings of abandonment to effect most areas of my life. Recently my father and mother have re-entered my life, which has forced me to address those feelings. 6 people have most influenced me; one is Jesus Christ. My grandparents became my parents when no one else would and established my basic views on life, my family and I returned here because of them. My wife and 2 sons are a revelation to me, for they come from much more stable backgrounds than I do, and seem to love and accept me in ways that I feel no one else does.]]></about>
