This book just didn't ring true to me. Based on a true story, the author's interpretation felt manipulative and her characters weak and odd.

Loved the sweeping narrative, the plot twists, the politicking, and the battle scenes. Much better written than the last one. The love story with Min still stunk and was annoying, but not as bad as the one with Aviendha in book #5.
