this book is verbose at times. The topic is, as subtitled, the story of reading, historically and neurologically.
We learn to read over 3 to 5 years, but it took thousands of years for man to develop written language... no wonder there are glitches. ]]>
Amazing, true NW history of a one of a kind giant spruce tree, felled by a misguided environmentalist. I learned so much about this part of the world, logging, the Sitka people. Its another nonfiction page turner. ]]>
