I have to say that this is probably one of the best dog behavior books I've read. Accessible light read with a great balance of practical advice and storytelling. Also a useful tool for re-examining your own actions - without the pressure of reading a "self-help"! :) ]]>

A good primer for a first-time owner ... especailly if you get an older dog from the animal shelter and have not yet learned its body language. The text could be organized a little better for easy reference but I have yet to find another book like this. ]]>

This was a great read! I borrowed it from the library because it was one of the first urban fantasies written but I ended up enjoying it much more than I usually do "recommended classics"! the dated bits don't grate on the brain so much - at least not for me. ]]>

Meh.
This book started out hilarious and went on to become dragged-out and boring. I had heard there was a lot of controversy surrounding this series and decided to see what it was all about. I can see where the parental complaints come from but, honestly, if your kid has not already experienced all this first-hand, then I would bank on them finding the book boring as well. After all, who wants to read about some whiny kid? ]]>
